Rumour has it that the last possible date for an SVA is the end of February 2009 before the more expensive BIVA tests start - so, because I'm very close the weekends have been a bit frantic.
Been tidying up the engine bay and connecting the rear lights - and Millets are doing ally drink bottles for £2.99 - make great oil catch tanks and expansion bottles!!!
Pictures updated
Been continuing with the never ending wiring - guages are fitted temporarily.
Fitted the rear wheel arches - what a job !!!

She Starts !
What a day !, finished connecting the sensors and other parts of the loom, bonded in the fuel tank and plumbed in the lift pump.
Put oil and water in the engine, oil ok but water all over the floor ... must remember to tighten the thermostat housing next time !
Phoned Richard from 'Great British Sports Cars' and he helped me program the ECU, turned the key and nothing ....... then a cough ......... then nothing again.
Let Richard go and checked my wiring ......
Fuel pump relay wired wrong, not only did I think the ECU switched live instead of earth but I used a dark green and a light green in my loom - discovered I had used the wrong shade of green for the relay so no fuel was being pumped !!!
Also used a waer temperature sensor from the scrappies which read permanantly at boiling point, so changed for the one supplied with the ECU
Corrected this and tried again, this was the result........oh yeeessssss !!!!

October 08
Just started a new album for October's photos - click here to see them
Monday 27th October - Fitted the Throttle Bodies today and spotted the first problem, they sat far too high and there was no way the bonnet would be able to sit properly - infact the top of the TB's held the bonnet up by at least an inch and a half !
Solution was to turn the TB's upside down with the fuel rail at the bottom!

Also finished the plumbing with a bit of help from a 32mm aerial pole from B&Q -quite happy with this !

The bracket was made from 30mm box steel (from an old computer table!!)
Scrapyard next week I think to find some long hoses.
